Tough walks today...

One lucky amatuer who had bought an Odessey putter last year got a chance to win 1.000.000 Euro by holing a 100 foot putt (around 30 meters). He had a 49 hcp and he missed:)

Some work done here. Saw it on the hotel parking lot and it looks awesome I think.

Best combo ever...although I don't understand why they can't mix the ice cream together and add some as well:) It doesn't have to be fancy, just a lot of it!

Niclas Fasth caddie Gerry is liking his caddie shirt for this week. Looks cool I think.

The next photo will probably gross you out but had to show you the pain I have been in the last 18 holes. I got it on the first hole and it got worse and worse as the round went on. The only thing I could think of was to finish the round so I could get some treatment. It was so painful I had to take the right shoe off a few times and walk only with my sock on. Never had these blood blisters before. I didn't think much about my score today and maybe that helped me to shoot 2 under par for a 70. It putts me in 14th place right now and a chance to climb over the next three days. The physio guy in the following picture helped me out after the round and you can see he made it a lot better looking and it feels a lot better as well.

Before treatment.

After treatment. Good job man!

Gonna change shoes for tomorrow and hope for some nicer walks in between shots.

It's amazing how much a course can change and feel different from the practice rounds to the tournament rounds. I didn't think much of this course when I first played it but today I thought it was pretty good. You have to hit a lot of quality shots to get close to these tucked away pins. If not you will get some seriously tricky putts. The course is also firming up a lot and those bunkers in the middle of the fairways are eating a lot more balls then earlier in the week. You have to play it a little more like a links style course now when it's firmer. Position rather than length of the tee and therefore you will get some long irons left to the greens.

Some massage now for my sore back will be it for tonight. Exciting nights when on tour. Not. Internet and food and then hit the bed no later than 10 PM usually...

Bye!

Hi Alex

Great score today i didnt manage to catch it on tv so couldnt see the course what holes were playing the most different to practice? How do they make the course harder for tournament days? Your foot looks very painful what shoes were you wearing? Good luck for the rest of the week mate

Shit painful these blue things on your heel. Looked like if you got them taken care of pretty well though. -2 with that is by all means impressive. As always keep up the good work and really great stories you put togheter at the course and off (in this forum). Might catch a flight to Dubai Saturday evening. Would like to any way. All the best. //Erik

Love the stories about your coach and times at university . Really inspiring , these days coaches are too scared to speak the truth to their pupils .

Great round with that foot :-/ Nice ´that you hang in there respect!
Strange when you look at the #1 tournament of the year on tour and hardly any people out there . Is that not a strange feeling to play when its so big money online, and it looks like a challange event behind the ropes ?
