Colin shows some photo skills...:)

Had a great day on the course with Edfors today! Always fun to play with someone as competetive as him and he is such a nice guy too! He is a little too popular though...too many women following our group. I have to focus:) I managed to play well though and really excited for tomorrow. Five shots up to the leader Westwood but lying in third so there is always a chance but I need a really low one! May the luck be with me.

Some training with Mr. Cowen after the round. The swing is feeling better than in the beginning of the week. Improvement is all I'm looking for.

The left wrist is on it's way to get enough "cupped" at the top of the swing.

This move is the key for the golf swing I think. Work left and down and the club and the hands will follow their correct paths.

The putting has saved me many times this week. I have hit hundreds of putts with only the right hand and tried to put the best roll possible on the ball. It feels great putting the left hand on afterwards.

Photos are taken by my caddie/photographer Colin Byrne who is actually releasing his second book on thursday next week in Dublin, Ireland. I'm going to show my support for him and go there. They are all playing golf at Royal Dublin thursday morning but since it was 3 degrees during the Irish Open this year in June I don't think it will be much warmer now in November so I'm gonna sit inside by the fire and watch them suffer outside. Colin's writing is great though, you can read his articles every week in Irish Times. Just search for Colin Byrne at irishtimes.com The first book he published is called "Bag Man". A lot of fun reading about both the US- and European Tour.

Need some sleep now.

Catch you later:)

Citat ifrån Ladbrokes sajt:

"Race to Dubai
Årets sista tävling på Europatouren avgörs just nu i Dubai. Inför sista rundan leder Westwood tät följd av ett antal toppspelare, däribland bloggande svensken Alexander Norén. Fore!"

Tydligen följer folket på Ladbrokes också dig...hela vägen imorgon!

Lycka till!

Hello Alexander,
What you did today was great. Your result was according to my expectations. Actually, you made one more birdie than I bargained for. Excellent job. Looking forward to see you play tomorrow. If you follow the path of prime numbers for birdies than you should score -7 tomorrow. If you'll finish top 10 it will be great, top 5 will be fantatic, but top 3 will exceed all expectations. I'm confident that you will kick some ass tomorrow!
Lots of good luck, Robin (Holland).

Luck has nothing to with the way your are playing, your are just that good. I´m amazed that your college coach didn´t teach that relaying on luck are just for losers. Just go out there and do your thing and it will be great.

Godd luck tomorrow. Definitely rooting for you to do well. Will miss live broadcast and taping because of work in morning so I'll refrain from headlines until I see your win. One step at a time, no pun intended!

Great played today my man! But I couldn't stop staring on your gigantic shoes, it must have been like 14 or 15 US size...? Haha, keep up the good work and perhaps I see you soon here in Sweden!

Hej Alexander.

John

Hi Alex,
To bad the last put didn't get in, hope you're happy with your result anyway!
I noticed that you have other shoes than before, what happened to the other? Thought the old one's were so cool, classic and different from the other players- quite similar to Jimenez shoes!
Wish you the best

Grattis ! En bieffekt är att du nu är rankad 52:a i världen. Ta dig en sväng söderut och se till att ta dig upp några pinnhål till så att du kan göra Peter H. sällskap till Masters. Se det vore väl nå't att längta till!

Hello Alex

Well played in Dubai! I am most impressed of the third rounds 7 birdies made up from 12 greens in regulation, very nicely played.

And now to the questions.

Which wedges/loft do you have in your bag and what system do you use for distance control? I have always tried to master the full and half swing with each wedge. Giving me 4 full wedge distances and 4 short distances where I take back the club until my left arm is parallel to the ground and then follow trough until my hand are at the same heigt as my chest. How many secure wedge distances do you have or do you go entirely by feel?

Sometimes I can blast a wedge 15 meters past the flag due to a very low trajectory (my hands sometimes gets way in front of the ball). Do you have any problems like these and how do you practice trajectory, divots and consistancy in general?

Lets say you have a 60 meter shot and a 70 meter shot in you repertoar. On this particular hole you need to hit the wedge 65 meters. How do you shave of or add five meters to a wedge?

Yet again well played in Dubai, thank you for a great blog and good luck in South Africa.

Really liked your new shoes. Are they pumas? Were can you get them. Have tried to look around here in Melbourne for a good looking "runner" style golf shoe but cant seem to find one!
