Work hard, Play hard, Rest hard!

Changing sites...

Today my blog has officially moved over to www.caddee.se

this is the link to the new site.

I have really enjoyed blogging for Aftonbladet and many thanks to Martin who gave me this fantastic opportunity a year ago. Even though he no longer works at Aftonbladet I would like to personally thank him for the time and opportunity to blog on the golf section of the website.

I now look forward to keep blogging at the remodeled golf website www.caddee.se

See you there!

Short reflection.

Just got home to Stockholm a few minutes ago.

Scored poorly again yesterday and ended up missing the cut, 78-76 (+10). It's not the end of the world but it still feels like shit!

Anyway, I stayed down in Malmö today and practiced short game all day. My game did not feel as bad as the scores showed this week (but yeah, I did hit some crappy shots) so I'm still positive with where I feel that my game is heading. A part of me wants to quit but that's not going happen. This game is too much fun, even on the bad days.

This week I'll be practicing hard and play a lot on the course. I need to do some technique work but the main thing for me is to get out on the course and play holes. I need to spend more time working on making decisions and trusting my shots. I AM going to get better!

Also, I will start blogging on a new site during next week. Stay tuned for more info. I think you'll like it!

See you tomorrow

The course won but I'm still happy.

78 (+6).

Today did not end up the way I hoped but I'm still happy. Conditions today were pretty good, it was a steady wind so even though it was blowing pretty hard the wind was consistent. Greens got a little bumpy and in my opinion they mowed the greens too short considering the low amount of grass on them. Since the greens are only starting to grow they get bunpy when you mow them to short. This results in that the putts don't behave they way I thought. I'm sure I read a few putts wrong but some putts just made some funny/weird turns. I'm not blaming anything but myself for my result (since a lot of players still shot decent scores) but the majority of players think that they should have made a better job with the greens here. I love fast greens, but not when they are bumpy as a muffin.

Patience is key my friends.

Anyway, my game felt pretty good and I am happy with how it feels. I feel a lot more soft through the shot (I tend to get too stiff in my arms) and I have a better flow. That's how it feels anyway! Putting felt alright too so it was tough (almost heartbreaking) to see a lot of putts roll by instead of in. I need to improve everything but I'm excited about where I think I'm headed, it feels like I'm on the right track. Just keep on working hard and play hard.

Now it's time to rest hard.

8:30 tee time tomorrow morning.

5 AM wake up, gym session, 6:30 breakfast, head to the course, warm up, 8:30 boom it!

Believe it!!

Pro Am day.

Pro Am today was nice. I got a fun group of guys to play with and even though we did not play as well as we hoped we managed to finish 4th. A nice lunch and a prize for fourth place made their day I think. I tried to give them some tips out on the course in the wind and it seemed to helped. Don't make this game too hard, it's already hard enough. Try to keep things simple.

Forgot to take good pics but managed to take a few before we went back to the hotel.

One of the last guys to leave today. Practice is fun when there's good facilities to practice at.

And this is fun too...

If you could pick one of these which one would it be??

I would pick the Ferrari even though the Porsche has more space in the trunk (luggage). I would let my clubs ride shotgun (sit in the front seat). Cool Ferraris are fun!

Had a massive dinner today. First a pizza and then a kebab, I need a lot of energy during the golf season.

1:30 PM tee time tomorrow. Breakfast, workout, head to the course, practice, eat lunch, play. That's the schedule.

See you tomorrow! Boom it, believe it!

Malmö.

In Malmö now.

Drove down here today with Tony "two shoe" Edlund (he was called that because he used to wear one white and one black shoe on the course. Why?? He does not want to say) and Leif "the gladiator" Westerberg. Got down and had a practice session and then played 9 holes to get a feel for the course. We are playing at PGA Sweden National this week (played here last fall) and the course is in pretty good shape. They moved this event up in the schedule so we are now playing this event in the spring instead of the fall. Swedish PGA Championship, first event of the year...

Links style course this week. You might recognize it from the pictures I took during the fall.

Bed time now, feel like going to bed early.

Tomorrow is the pro-am day. Hope to get a fun group of am's to play with. After all, tomorrow is their day.

Good weather would be nice too, easier to take nice pictures when the sun is out.

Good night
